Project Bread Board DAY 17 & 18

Our neighbor upstairs moved out and canceled his internet. However, Comcast thought it was us that canceled and shut our internet off yesterday. It's back, hence the double post.

Project Bread Board DAY 13

This is the theme for a normal stage boss battle. It's a little too happy sounding in parts for my taste.
What's wrong with a little happiness?

Project Bread Board DAY 12

Rival Themes are hard. Is the rival an enemy? Are you supposed to feel for the rival? My rival does have some tude.
It's a tough call since there isn't a full story yet.

Project Bread Board DAY 9

Made this repetitive theme for the Stage Select screen. It's a good listen for the first 3 or 4 turn arounds, but after that I would be eager to select a stage.

Project Bread Board DAY 7

We are 7 days in and I've noticed something my recording process. I've only been using 4 instruments. 2 8-bit chip emulators, bass, and drums. I'm going to stick with it for the remainder of this 22 day cycle.

I'm proud of tonight's piece. I was able to get the recording done quick and same with the mixing.

Project Bread Board DAY 6, Stage 6, and a face to a name.

It was a very productive weekend. Not only did I design the main character for Project Bread Board, I also programed and animated him.

Does he have a name yet? No.
Does the game have a name yet? No.
Why is it called Project Bread Board? You'll see.

Here's Stage 6. It's kinda weird, but fun!

Project Bread Board DAY 3

It's an exciting day 3 of Project Bread Board. This piece feels a little more sneaky than the other so far and I also have to versions for you.

This one is my intended piece.

This one is a happy accident that came from fooling around with a console emulator plug-in on my drums. Almost makes it more fitting for a classic game.

Project Bread Board DAY 1

Four years ago I started and completed a project called Ode to the Blue Man. Every business day I wrote one piece of music that would go in a typical NES Megaman soundtrack. The average soundtrack length was 22 specific types of songs.

Well I’m doing it again, BUT DIFFERENT! Once the 22 business day cycle is up, I will start again. The end result will be me picking a handful of the songs I am writing to be in a game that I am building. Right now I am calling the game Project Bread Board and it’s gonna be f**kin awesome.

Here's the first piece. Stage 1.

Over the past 6 months, I’ve learned how to design and build games. I’ve been focusing hard on designing sound systems for games. How my music gets played, and how it will change based on interactions. I’m excited to work on Project Bread Board. More updates to come(maybe even a patreon site), more music every day!

Also check out some of these demo games that I have build.

Solar Jam - a quick game about collecting parts to repair solar panels.

Endless Warehouse - an endless 3rd person shooter and evolving side project.
